Greetings from Manila, Philippines!!!
Everything's good so far...
But things here aren't as cheap as i thought it'll be...
Got to know more of my new colleagues and have had lots of fun since arriving!! =)
26th Aug:
Airport at 7am..
Daddy, Mommy, Jerome & Jason sent me off...
I'm gonna miss my lil Jerome!!! =..(
Flew off at 9.40am,
Reached Manila at 1.25pm...
Upon reaching,
First stop: Mall of Asia..
It's supposedly 6times the size of Suntec!!!
Went there for lunch and to buy some neccesities..
Toilet roll, detergents, cleaning supplies, stock coffee and teas and food, etc etc...
Got to the apartment by 5.30pm...
Bonifacio Heights @ Taguig City...
It's supposedly an ATAS condo,
surrounded by Police HQ, Marines HQ and Army HQ..
Relatively safe...
My luggage was like 27kg...
Plus my groceries 3 heavy plastic bags full...
The bus stopped us at the main clubhouse and my apartment is like FREAKING FAR AWAY!!!
Pushed and pulled and panted over 20 mins and was perspiring like hell by the time i got there!!!
WORST!!!!
My apartment has a living room, kitchen, 2 bedrooms for 5 girls and ONLY ONE TOILET!!
PLUS it was DIRTY and crammed with furniture in the living room!!!
PLUS PLUS PLUS!!!
We don't have a cupboard to hang our clothes!!!!
*My clothes are still in my luggage =.=*

Jerlyn & I were the first to arrive,
Joyce and Mee Nai were in the afternoon flight...
and ShuiYuan was on Thursday evening's flight...
Jerlyn and I cleaned the WHOLE place up and tried to shift the furniture to make the place more spacious...
The bedsheets had brown spots on them!!!
Both Jerlyn & I changed d bedsheets for all 5 beds!!!
I've never cleaned so hard in my life...
I appreciate my maid a lot more now!!!
Dinner at the clubhouse..
Waited SUPER long for the food to come!!!
Had Cordon Bleu Chicken and it was nice..
But some ate the beef...
The kitchen can only make it WELL WELL DONE!!
LOL!!!
Meals here are same priced as Singapore...
After dinner,
headed back to clean up further and wait for Joyce and Mee Nai...
Slept at 2am...
27th Aug:
Woke up at 7.30am...
Met at clubhouse at 9am...
Tour Day...
We were brought to see Mckinley Hill,
a chill out place with Starbucks and MacDonalds and all...
Just 5 mins away from our apartment...
Then went to Green Hill for shopping and lunch..
Didn't but anything except for an incense burner + aroma therapy oil for 350pesos...
Lunch @ Delifrance was provided for today..
Didn't have much of an appetite so shared with Jerlyn...
Next stop was GreenBelt in Makati...
Had almost 3 hours to walk around...
GreenBelt is like Suntec on a small scale..
5 different shopping buildings all connected...
GreenBelt 1 to GreenBelt5,
the lower the belt number, the cheaper it got..
Went to GB5 and strolled into LV, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, etc...
My favourite was probably GB3...
Some of the guys in the group went for a haircut so the few of us had drinks at GB3...
3bottles of beer @ 150pesos (SGD$5)!!!
SWEET!!!!!
Supposed to go to Market Market after but not enough time so we went back to the condo...
Stacy & I decided to swim =P
Joshua also joined us.
Dinner at clubhouse again after....
Went back to the apartment after...
Rested a little before meeting some of them at the clubhouse...
CLUBBING!!!!
Total 12 of us..
9 guys and 3 girls..
We shared the cab with Kris..
Wanted to got to Embassy..
It's apparently the place to be seen!!
Local celebritys go there...
BUT the place was closed...
Some stabbing case last week... -_-"
Went to Tabu but didn't like it..
Ended up at some place called Guilley's...
LOVE IT!!!!!
D guys bought 2btls Hennessy, 2btls, Chivas & 1btl Martel...
the 2hennessys disappeared within 1/2 hr....
Stacy, Diana, Tim and Bob went back first coz Bob was drunk...
Danced the night thru!!!!!
Left at 5.30am and almost got pickpocketed while getting onto the cab...
Lucky the guys spotted and shouted!!
The poor boy was also shocked coz the pocket of my bag he picked only held a padlock...
LOL!!!!
Got back and changed,
slept like a PIG!!!
All the way til almost 4pm...
28th Aug:
Met at clubhouse at 5pm...
Dinner for the whole batch...
Went to this resto called Dad & Mom near Mall of Asia...
After dinner,
went to MOA coz some of the guys wanted to get some stuff...
Stacy, Tim and I went for a massage and spa after...
24hrs spa place with free food!!!
heheehehe!!!!
Finished close to 2am before cabbing back....
Gonna have training later at 7am...
And it's now nearly 6am...
Gonna bathe and head out...
Miss u guys loads!!!!!!

Sunday 23rd Aug:So the parents came back in the late afternoon...Got Daddykins to drop me at The Garden Slug...Waited for Valencia & Steven..Dinner was shared:Beef Salad - Bad *I wish Hans was still in the kitchen*Cabonara Pasta - Good *Big portion, tasted pretty good*Beef Pizza - Good *It's quite nice.....*Steven left after dinner.Valin & I waited for Leo to finish work then picked Kim from Marina Square..
Over to Bugis for desserts...
I will miss this car and that bolster when i leave for Manila!!!!!! =PMonday 24th Aug:FIRST day of work!!!!Official employee of Resorts World Sentosa!!!Daddy drove me all the way down to Jurong for my Corporate Induction...*Thank you Daddykins =) ♥♥*OMG I'm gonna have to commute to and from Jurong regularly until the Resort opens =.=!Got to know some of my new colleagues,Training lessons were fun..I hope it will all turn out well!! =)After work,MRTed down to Bugis...Sarah got Roshan & I to have dinner..Had dinner at Swensens followed by a drink at The Loof...*Thanks Roshan, I had a good time!! =)*Tuesday 25th Aug:2nd day of my Corporate Induction..Daddykins dropped me at Outram MRT and i had to MRT down...Waited at the wrong place for the shuttle bus and missed the first one...Not too bad,Met my new housemates...Had some team-building games...Got to know more people =)After work,MRTed down to Orchard...I stupidly took the red line down and spent almost an hour in the train!!!I've learnt my lesson and shall take the green line the next time =.=!Met Steph & Kelly at HMV..Supposed to meet Alex too but he had some stuff to handle in the end...Dinner at Waraku...Then hunted about for my travel adapter...Last minute shopping before i leave... =Po.OIt's past midnight...Will be leaving for Manila in a couple of hours...Starting to miss my friends & family... =(Yes it's only 3 months...BUT it's STILL 3 MONTHS!!! =.=Luggage almost fully packed...I've a feeling my luggage is over the 20KG limit given =.=!Shall go rest first and the next time i blog,it'll be from my apartment in Manila!!! =P

Saturday was spent with Baby!!! =)Parents have taken a one-day trip to Malaysia =)
Went to Vivo to do some shopping =)Got my Mac foundation + a birthday present for Daddykins =)Since i will be in Manila for his birthday,figured i'll buy first and Justina can give later =)Jason also came down later..Needed help with Jerome, a pram, my bag + shopping bags...
And i showed Jerome baby my new workplace!! =PDinner at White Dog Cafe..
Had Triple Mushroom Soup..It went well with the garlic bread..I didn't like it much but Jerome's a BIG mushroom fan!! =PAlso had Crispy Prawns and Salmon & Cheese BruschettaNothing fantastic...The Crispy Prawns were not worth it..And the Salmon taste was a little off...For Mains,I ordered the Salmon Penne Carbonara + The Sausage Platter...The Penne was too hard, not boiled enough...I sent it back but it was still the same the 2nd time round...I'll just learn not to order tt again...The Sausage Platter was huge!!Could have fed 2 people...It was pretty okay =)Total bill $64 which i feel is very reasonable =)After dinner,stop over at Little India to do my eyebrow threading..Left Jason and Jerome @ G4 with Leo..Chatted with Leo for awhile before cabbing home...Jason owes me $40 for dinner and cab!!Sunday spent home blogging and playing with Jerome... =)My lil Mr Adorable!! =)If the parents are home early AND if Leo is driving..Will probably head to The Garden Slug for dinner later...The last time i see my Male Bestie for the next 3 months...He will be off to Vietnam tomorrow...And he'll only return on the evening that I fly to Manila... =(Work starts tomorrow!!!!Wow my one month holiday sure FLEW past uber fast!!!! =.=!

17th Aug:Leo picked me up in the afternoon for a movie at Balastier Shaw.
A Frozen FlowerRate: 7.5/10It's R21 coz of certain scenes...It's quite a nice show but not the type I'd normally watch...Leo wanted to watch it for the naked Korean actress LOL!!18th August:Leo picked me up from home,headed to Cineleisure for a late screening..
G.I.Joe: The Rise of CobraRate: 8.5/10Nice!!!!Action-packed from the start to the end!!19th Aug:Dental follow up @ 12pm with Dr Reza...Just to remove my stitches...Will go back again tomorrow for a full review..Met Jeremy 6.30pm @ Bugis..Signed more Insurance stuff...I'm seriously hearing but not listening...Don't know what i signed for...Sorry Jeremy..U may have to repeat it all again =.=!Ubi @ 8.30pm..First night driving lesson..I'd say it went pretty well!! =)Got pissed at other drivers who drove worse than me...Especially this one idiot who almost killed me!!!I think his instructor must have been sleeping or something!!!Jason met me after driving to pass me some stuff..Panda called wanting to eat so we all met up,Panda, Suet May, Jason & I,Supper at Quality Hotel...They have this Teochew Porridge Supper Buffet Deal @ $9++ / person!!!It's not fantastic fantastic...Just normal food but it's a good deal!! =P*There goes my diet..... =.=*20th August:Dental appointment at 3pm...Fast 10min session just to check and clean..I want some nice teeth to go to work with =)Arranged for Jerome's first session at 3.30pm..Mommy was late...And when they came,Jerome didn't even let Dr Reza near him...Kept screaming and crying....OMG!! =.=!Tried to coax him but we called it off in the end...Maybe the next time =.=Walked over to Taka after..I still had some Taka vouchers from Starhub so decided to get Jerome some toys =)Yes Yes he has a store-room full already...But he looks so adorable when he has new toys!!! =PDrove to Plaza Singapura after...Went to pick up my pants tt Daddykins bought for me last week...Alterations all done up =)Dinner at Cafe Cartel with MommyDearest and Baby =)After dinner,headed to Ah Ma's home for some barley dessert...Then Daddykins called...Mommy Dearest dropped me at the club while she and Baby went home..I joined Daddykins+ his HongKong Friends Uncle Kelvin & Auntie Annie at Jumbo..Didn't eat with them thou...I was already really full...So chatted with them a bit in English, Mandarin & Cantonese...They have this 2 year 5 mth lil boy...He is sooo adorable!!!!He can speak all 3 languages!!And like if you ask him something in Cantonese, he'll reply in Cantonese..If u ask him in English, he'll reply in English!!Smart ehh!!!!I want Jerome to learn English well and then on to Mandarin,then dialects, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean!!!! =P21st August:Happy Birthday Leo's Mom & Jun Huang Kor!! =DMet Sarah for lunch at Arab Street..Had a very yummy & meaty lunch!! =)Had an awesome time catching up and gossiping!!! =)Thanks for Lunch babe!!!*Kisses*After lunch headed to Bugis...Had nothing to do so caught a movie..
The ProposalRate 8/10The reviews were pretty bad but i've no idea why...I actually really enjoyed the show!!! =P+ Ryan Reynolds is soooooo CUTE!!!!!!*Sigh*... When will i ever find my Mr Awesome?!?!?!Met Jackie @ StarHub after...Saw Mabel and Edwin and a few others =)Miss this place a little... lol!!Jackie & I waited for MommyDearest to bring Jerome down...Mom gave us a lift to Serangoon Gardens..Dinner @ The Village Fare..Indonesian Fusion...and Dessert @ The Dessert Bowl...
Lol!! Jerome & Jackie were bonding over imaginary airplane flights...HAHAHA!!!I had a great time with u babe!!! =PThank you for dinner and a wonderful time!!! =)Starting work in 3 days...Flying off in 5 days...I'll really miss my social life lots coz i know once work starts,I'll have very little time for my friends...It'll be all about work....

9th August:♥ Happy 44th Birthday Singapore!!!!!! ♥
Church with Beatrice..Jerome supposed to come with me but MommyDearest forgot and brought him to NTUC...Nvm he'll go with them in the evening...Wow!!!I've not been to church in like FOREVER!!!It felt foreign at first but i got settled in by the Gospel reading...I remember why I miss church..It's got a calming effect on me =)After church,picked Jerome from home and headed to J8 for lunch..Jerome wanted Sakae Sushi so Jap food in was!!*Thanks Beats!! I had a good time hanging and catching up!! =)*At night,Just brought food home from Ah Ma's place...Baby enjoyed the chix wing!!It was ALL OVER his face!!!!Such a joy to watch him eat sometimes!!!LOL!! =P

Was doing so well then the Male Bestie had to call... =.=!Lost concentration after and stalled a lot after... Zzzzz...Renewed PDL then headed to Mandarin Gardens!!Badminton with Kim & Charles!!!!! =)And swimming and sauna with Kim after!!!!*Had an awesome time peeps!!! Lets do this AGAIN!!!!! =P*Selegie after for threading then Leo asked me to head down to The Garden Slug!!o.O Their Beef Salad is FANTASTICO!!!!!Leo likes their Tofu & Zucchini Fingers but i thought it wasn't that nice really.. =P12th August:Facial @ Jean Yip Bugis...DON'T go there!!Bad service and Bad attitudes!!!I was a little late...When i got there,no one was at the counter..Was ringing the bell for a good 5 mins and no one responded!!Then after 10mins,someone from the hairdressing side came out and saw me and hurried to ask someone out....AND!!!When i was ready for my facial,the main lights wouldn't dim...There was this overhead lamp directly above me so the lady doin my facials used that instead...When she turned it over,the head of the lamp FELL on ME!!!!!All she said was sorry...And did nothing else!!!!
Not gonna complain..But NEVER EVER going back to Jean Yip for a facial again!!!Plaza Singapura Samsung Svs Ctr after...My Omnia is giving me some problems again =.=!Bishan J8 @ 6.30pm!!FINALLY get to have dinner with the ever busy Joshua!!!! =PHe felt like Jap so Sakae Sushi again =)*Had a good time hanging and catching up!!Let's go for drinks soon!!! =)*13th August:9am @ Midpoint Orchard..My Dental appointment with Dr Reza...Removal of my right upper & lower wisdom tooth...5 injections for local anesthesia,the lower tooth was the worse coz it was angled sideways...I was looking thru the reflection of my dentist's goggles as he broke the tooth apart to remove it....And BOY it was a bloody sight!!!!It was about 2 hours long and they gave me my 2 teeth as souvenir...*Scroll away if u can't stomach this!!*
My Upper tooth in one piece..And my Lower tooth in pieces..So labour pains top my pain list..I'd say this is a second for me!!!!I was nearly in tears once the numbness wore off..I headed to PS to collect my phone..And Daddy was there to take me shopping...However after probably 10mins of walking,I was in too much pain & wanted to head home...There are FEW things to make me give up a day of shopping with Daddykins..This was THAT bad!!!! =PTried to sleep it off when i got home but i'd get up every 20mins and wither in agony =.=!The 6 mefenamic acid pills i took did not really help... =(I was glad when i finally managed to fall asleep...14th August:Felt lots better after the long sleep...Still pretty swollen but at least the pain is not as bad anymore =)Daddykins took me for lunch & shopping @ PS...Wanted to go to Takashimaya too but no time =(*Thank You Daddykins!!**I know you didn't have to but you did and i appreciate it!!*
*♥♥ Love you DaddyDearest!!! ♥♥*After shopping,MRT-ed down to Vivo to meet the cousins..Leo & Valencia were shopping for Val's birthday celebration..ShuYing joined us after..Drove into Sentosa,Val had booked a Roof Garden Suite at Siloso Beach Resort..NICE!!!!!!!!!!! =P
Had loads of fun most of the time!!!Surrounded by friends and people,Soaking in the jacuzzi,Champagne,Wine,Beer,Food served by Leo!!!Hahahaha!!!!This is LIFE!!!
*Thank you Valin!!!**Hope u had a good time!!!*Left at about 1+am...Leo, ShuYing & I headed over to G4 for awhile...Drank a little more with Kim and Selina,1 German guy + 4 Finnish guys...Home Sweet Home after!!15th August:Slept in til 1pm!!! =PWoke up to more swelling on my face... =.=!All thanks to my night out with Mr Alcohol...Doctor did tell me not to take alcohol... =PDaddykins brought us to the club for dinner...

It's time to diet...Birthday after birthday...Been eating too much in August...One more week left before work starts and i fly...Nervous...And that sad feeling i got previously is back..The one where I don't have as much time with my friends anymore and I'm afraid I'd lose my friends.... =(Jaykie!!U're leaving for China again soon...Let's please meet before you go k??I wanna see u and Baby Gabriel!!!Miss u babe!!! =)
