Awww.....
*Sad*...
I missed the tattoo convention............
I wished i could go but Jerome was with me...
I'd NV expose Jerome to such stuff this early in life...
He'll have lots of time to grow before he is exposed... =)

Saw this article under Forum in the Straits Times on 13/1/09 - Tuesday..

Well Mr Cheok,
as moral as ur values are,
it's prolly just coz u don't want ur kid/niece/nephew/blah to get one...

But imagine if it got worse...
Ever heard that the forbidden fruit will always be the MOST appealing?
The more u try to rein that in,
the more underground studios will thrive...
And then they may even spread diseases thru the same needle which they may use over the next (ermm... say...) 5 people?
*well... it might happen....*

Not too sure which era you're from but tattoos are no longer stereotyped together with gangsterism...
OK so some gangsta-wannabes still think this way...
But eyes wide open people!!!
It's also a form of expressing art and keeping special memories alive...

Take an example, referring to an article in The Straits Times on 9/1/09:
From teachers to grandmas, growing number of S'poreans are getting them- reported By Yen Feng
*
59-year-old Susie Koh is a retired grandmother and she is getting her 9th tattoo..
Her first when she was 50.
-one every year to commemorate every year of her life..
*
Mr Xu, who works at Primitive Art, said most of his customers are teenagers, but a growing number are doctors, teachers and grandmothers.
*

Basically,
Most shops require proof of age and 18 is good enough...
If we don't like the design later on in life, a cover up can always be done..
Medical Science is advncd now too..
Removal of tattoos can also be done easily..

Whether or not responsible.....
Have u never felt the rebel in you before?

We'll learn things our way...
Singapore has already so many restrictions that many young talents are immigrating....
Sure sure.... just ban ALL our fun...
S'pore may then forever be stuck with an againg population as the younger generations study abroad and later choose to continue staying and working away from our little island!!..

Anyway...
I'm contemplating on getting my surname tattooed plus some kind of background...
Still thinking about the details =P
I've got lotsa time to decide coz i wanna get that only after i loose weight!! LOL!!! =P
